Táto stránka je pokračovaním našej staršej a už nevyhovujúcej webovej stránky. Tá vznikla v roku 2006 z čistého nadšenia. Uverejňovali sme najmä fotografie pláží, miest a pamiatok z ostrovov, ktoré sme navštívili.

V porovnaní so staršou stránkou dnes prinášame viac ako len fotografie – pridávame aj informácie o známych i menej známych miestach vrátane odkazov na zaujímavé články a videá. I naďalej tak robíme z nadšenia. Pre vás, ktorí uprednostňujete dovolenku v Grécku tak ako my. Možno vám naše stránky pomôžu pri výbere dovolenky, možno si zaspomínate na miesta, kde ste už boli, alebo si ich prelistujete len tak vo voľnom čase.

Čo máme radi?

Na cestovaní autom je skvelé, že môžeme zastaviť kedy chceme a kde chceme. Radi vyhľadávame miesta, ktoré priveľmi nezasiahol turistický ruch, hoci občas sa nevyhneme ani rušnejším oblastiam.

Máme radi more v akejkoľvek podobe – či už Jónske, Egejské alebo Krétske. More, ktoré mení farby od svetlej tyrkysovej až po oceľovo modrú, pokojné aj rozbúrené (hoci také radšej z úctivej vzdialenosti). Uprednostňujeme panenské pláže.

Obdivujeme rozmanitú prírodu, historické pamiatky a mestá. Fascinujú nás pevnosti, umelecké diela v múzeách a stavby starých Grékov, ktorí budovali svoje pevnosti, obydlia, kláštory a kostolíky často na ťažko dostupných miestach. A máme radi bezprostrednosť domácich, ich mentalitu a prístup k životu. V Grécku sa cítime ako doma.

Obľúbili sme si grécku kuchyňu, ryby a plody mora, jahňacinu, olej, olivy, jogurt, syr feta, horský med aj bylinky, sladučké figy, melóny, bezkôstkové hrozno, broskyne, opuncie, slivky z Pelionu, čerstvú pomarančovú šťavu a šťavnatú zeleninu. Občas neodoláme maškrtám ako ekmek kataifi, loukoumades, chalva alebo sezamové či mandľové tyčinky. Vždy pochválime výbornú kávu, skvelé zákusky a koláče – sladké aj slané. Ochutnali sme ouzo, metaxu, raki, retsinu aj domáce vína. A chutia nám žuvačky s mastichou. 🙂

This page is a continuation of our older and already outdated website. It was created in 2006 out of pure enthusiasm. We mainly published photographs of beaches, cities and monuments from the islands we visited.

Compared to the older website, today we offer more than just photographs – we provide information about well-known and lesser-known places, along with links to interesting articles and videos. We continue to do this out of enthusiasm. For you who prefer a vacation in Greece as much as we do. Perhaps our pages will help you choose a holiday, perhaps you will remember places where you have already been, or perhaps you will just browse through them in your free time.

What do we like?

When traveling by car, we can stop whenever and wherever we want. We like to seek out places that have not been too affected by tourist crowds, although we sometimes cannot avoid busier areas either.

We love the sea in any form – whether it’s the Ionian, Aegean or Cretan Sea. The sea that changes colors from light turquoise to steel blue, calm and stormy (although we prefer the stormy kind from a respectful distance). We prefer pristine beaches.

We admire diverse nature, historical monuments and cities. We are fascinated by fortresses, works of art in museums and structures built by the ancient Greeks, who built their fortresses, dwellings, monasteries and small churches often in hard-to-reach places. And we love the directness of the locals, their mentality and approach to life. In Greece, we feel at home.

We have grown fond of Greek cuisine – fish and seafood, lamb, oil, olives, yogurt, feta cheese, mountain honey and herbs, sweet figs, melons, seedless grapes, peaches, prickly pears, plums from Pelion, fresh orange juice and juicy vegetables. Sometimes we cannot resist treats like ekmek kataifi, loukoumades, halva or sesame and almond bars. We always appreciate excellent coffee, great pastries and cakes – both sweet and savory. We have tasted ouzo, metaxa, raki, retsina and local wines. And we like chewing gum with mastic. 🙂

So welcome to our pages. We wish you a pleasant walk through the places seen through our eyes.
